Two established primary care practices will join TLC

The Longstreet Clinic, P.C.,  is pleased to announce that two well established and respected primary care physicians – W. Rhett Weaver, M.D., FACP, of  Mountain Internal Medicine and Michael Mulberry, M.D., of Valley View Medical Center – will join TLC.
W. Rhett Weaver, M.D., Mountain Internal Medicine, Demorest
Weaver’s practice, Mountain Internal Medicine, is located on Austin Drive in Demorest. His busy practice has served patients in Habersham County since 1992 and will continue to be an important part of the medical community. Mountain Internal Medicine has six staff members, including a certified nurse practitioner, Celina Carruth.

Weaver earned his medical degree at Emory University and completed his internal medicine residency at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Miss. He went on to serve as a staff internist with the United States Air Force before moving his practice to Georgia. Weaver, who is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Hospital Authority at Habersham Medical Center.
Mike Mulberry, M.D., Valley View Medical Center, Dahlonega
Mulberry’s practice, Valley View Medical Center, is located on Alicia Lane in Dahlonega. In addition to his busy family medicine and aesthetics practice, Mulberry has worked as a physician in the Chestatee Regional Hospital Emergency Department. His Valley View office employs six staff members as well as a physician’s assistant, Lindsey Haynes.

Mulberry earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia and completed his family medicine residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center South Carolina. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He will continue seeing patients at his Dahlonega office.
Both mergers have a planned effective date of July 1, 2014.

“These opportunities are consistent with our strategic initiatives of growing a strong primary care network in Northeast Georgia,” said Jeff Reinhardt, M.D., president of The Longstreet Clinic. “Both Dr. Weaver and Dr. Mulberry are respected physicians with vibrant practices integral to the communities they serve. Together, we are poised to see growth from joining together as TLC.”
