Jacobson recognized by South University

Ross L. Jacobson, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., a physician with The Center for Women’s Health at The Longstreet Clinic, P.C., recently was recognized by the South University Physician Assistant program for his dedication to training their students.

“We are fortunate to have preceptors who give of their time and talents to help mold these students into the skillful clinicians they will be at the completion of their training,” said Rachelle Dye, clinical coordinator of South University’s Physician Assistant Program.

An obstetrician and gynecologist with the Center for Women’s Health since 2006, Dr. Jacobson joined The Longstreet Clinic after practicing in New Orleans from 1983 until 2005.

Dr. Jacobson is a part of TLC’s ongoing commitment to training future medical professionals. In the past year, TLC provided training to 30 medical students and 24 mid-level providers.

The Longstreet Clinic, P.C., incorporated in 1995, is a fully integrated multi-specialty medical group owned and managed by physicians. TLC has grown to include nearly 90 physicians in over 15 specialties, and more than 40 nurse practitioners, physicians assistants and certified nurse midwives.
