Longstreet Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology is excited to announce the addition of Urania Davis, D.O., and Heather Laflam, CNM, to its team.
Dr. Davis is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with more than eight years of experience in comprehensive women’s health, including advanced gynecologic surgery (robotic, laparoscopic), prenatal care and interdisciplinary education.
Laflam has more than a decade of nursing experience, including four years working as a nurse practitioner in the Atlanta metro area.
“Dr. Davis and Healther are wonderful additions to our care provider team,” said longtime Longstreet Clinic OB/GYN Brett Barger, M.D., FACOG.
Dr. Davis has built a wealth of experience in OB/GYN care in her career, working via inpatient and outpatient settings in metro Atlanta and southern Florida. She has experience utilizing the daVinci Surgical System for a variety of procedures.
“She is passionate about helping women through every stage of life, from wellness and pregnancy care to minimally invasive surgical procedures,” Dr. Barger added.
Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board, Laflam completed her nursing degree at the Medical College of Georgia, and went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia College and State University
Dr. Davis completed her OBGYN residency at Community Health of South Florida, Inc., in Miami, Fla., after receiving her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Ga. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
Longstreet Clinic is affiliated with Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). Dr. Davis and Heather are welcoming new patients in Gainesville, Ga. They have medical staff privileges at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
