Treating a wide range of neurological illnesses

Dr. Frank McDonald and his staff are skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological illnesses. We believe that healing occurs only when we treat the patient, not just the disease. So you can expect to be treated by clinicians who are warm and caring and who respect your needs.

We are the only practice in Northeast Georgia to offer in-house EMGs and nerve conduction studies performed by a physician who is fellowship-trained in electrodiagnostic medicine. An EMG provides helpful information in evaluating the function of your nerves and muscles.

Longstreet Clinic Neurology also performs Electroencephalography (EEG), the recording of electrical activity along the scalp produced by the firing of neurons within the brain. A routine clinical EEG usually lasts 20 to 40 minutes and typically involves recording from scalp electrodes.

Chemodenervation may be used to reduce symptoms of cerebral palsy, spasmodic torticollis, dystonia and other movement disorders.
