Clinic to offer drive thru flu shots Saturdays in October

Vaccine available to adults at Gainesville campus

Longstreet Clinic will offer opportunities for adults to get their annual flu shot at a drive thru flu clinic each Saturday morning in October.

From 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31, Longstreet staff will administer the vaccine under the portico/overhang at Building A of the Gainesville campus on the Broad Street side of the building (the campus address is 725 Jesse Jewell Parkway SE). The best way to access the drive thru clinic is at the entrance closest to Prior and Broad streets.

Most insurance plans cover the flu shot at no cost to patients. If you do not wish to file insurance, payment options include cash, check or credit card. The $35 fee will be collected at the time of service.

The best way to prevent the spread of the flu is to get vaccinated each year. That is especially the case or the 2020-21 flu season, which arrives amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The CDC recommends that everyone age 6 months and older get a flu shot, especially those at higher risk of complications from the flu.

While this opportunity is available for adults only, flu shots for children are available by appointment at our pediatrics offices. Please schedule an appointment at one of our five pediatrics locations.
